MSR-V3D dataset + Depth Transfer code
Using side-by-side Microsoft Kinects, we collected a dataset of stereo videos for a variety of scenes. For one of the views, depth is available via the Kinect (the second view's depth was not recorded to avoid IR interference). We also collected stereo videos outdoors, but these sequences contain no depth information due to IR issues and range limitations of the Kinect.
Code is also available for our Depth Transfer algorithm, which can be used in conjunction with the MSR-V3D dataset (or any other RGBD dataset) to generate depth for single images and videos. Visit the Depth Transfer project page for more details.

Fellowship essays
NSFGRF: Personal Statement - Past Research - Research Proposal
NDSEG: Research Goals
These are essays that I wrote for the 2009 NSF Graduate Research Fellowship (NSFGRF) application as well as the Nation Defense Science and Engineering Graduate (NDSEG) fellowship. I was fortunate enough to receive both of these fellowships, and I am tremendously grateful to those who shared their fellowship essays with me as well as those who helped with editing.
Some of the best resources I had when writing my essays were previous applicants' essays, and I am posting these here in hopes that others may find these useful when writing their own fellowship essays.
